At around midnight last night, I tried to tweak one of the nose pads on my glasses, and it broke pretty much instantly. Fortunately, I have a backup pair. Unfortunately, they're kind of dorky looking, and don't fit quite right. So I ordered up my next pair from the absurdly cheap Zenni Optical, which are essentially identical to the last ones I had, which were probably my favorite glasses since I began wearing glasses in the seventh grade:
It's probably cause and effect: you sort of get what you pay for with $9.95 glasses from the informationsuperinfobahn. But those lasted almost two years, so if the other option is paying 2000 percent more for basically the same mass produced junk at an eyeglass shop or optometry office, I'll happily deal with waiting a week to ten days for them to come in.
